A big "Thank you" goes to Jennifer and Sophia for their hospitality.
We didn't even have time to unpack because the next morning we went to Seattle in the USA. Seattle is about 250 km south of Vancouver and always worth a short weekend trip. Especially with all the Outlet Malls on our way down the highway.
In Seattle we were welcomed by Agy's friend, Elise.
The weather was marvelous for exploring Seattle
Thank you Elise for having us. We had a fantastic weekend.

Did you know that the first Starbucks was opened in Seattle? At that time the logo looked quite different.
PHO soup is a soup consisting of broth, rice noodles and meat. You can choose chicken or beef broth and individualize it with herbs and spices. All of us liked it immediately.
A famous attraction in Seattle is the "Pike Market". It is one of the oldest operated public farmer's markets in the USA.
A curiosity you can find at the market
When you are in Seattle you should visit the "Space Needle", a 138 meter high tower with a 360 degree view of Seattle and the surrounding mountains.
View from the Space Needle with Mount Rainier in the background.
A view over the Pacific.
All good things must come to an end. And so we finished our trip to Seattle with a Sunday brunch at the rooftop restaurant in the Space Needle. |
